PACT is an evolving project, a ‘living conversation’. The timeline is not therefore meant to be a complete history of the conflict – we have simply made a start.

The concept behind PACT is about engaging with the timeline and this will help to build on what is already there. We will of course continue to look back at the history of the conflict, and also track its trajectory, and post significant events and perspectives ourselves.

But we invite you to do the same.

If you feel that we have missed out a conflict event, political development or peace initiative on PACT, we would like to hear from you. Please keep your suggestions to significant events, and not for example about the vicissitudes of the war environment.

Please use the comments box below to give your suggestions for events that do not appear on the timeline.

Each event should ideally have a number of elements: a date, a brief description followed by additional information on the event, including sources (if possible online sources), quotations that give different perspectives to the event from the actors involved, and any related links.
